Winter Guard
Winter Guard performances combine breathtaking equipment skills with innovative dance routines within a theme-based competitive indoor show. There is a strong emphasis on dance technique and movement as well as equipment handling (flag, sabre, and rifle). This group performs primarily during winter season, ending with championships held in early spring. Performances include Saturday competitions throughout northern California.
The SCHS Winter Guard were the 2005 NCBA Open Class Division Champions.

| The Winter Guard program is an extension of the music program and is currently an after-school activity. Students of the winter guard rehearse mainly in the evenings and on Sunday afternoons. Membership is open to all students of SCHS, by audition only. Estimated minimum student costs: $175. Contact the Director, Mrs. Latham, or the Assistant Director, Ron Salinas. |
