Dear parents/guardians, alumni, and supporters of the Santa Cruz High music program,
The Band Boosters of Santa Cruz High School, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, raises funds each year to support the band's music program, which recently celebrated its 100-year anniversary! As the only competitive high school marching band in Santa Cruz County, the SCHS Band has become a cornerstone of our community's musical tradition.
Throughout the school year, the band enriches the community through free concerts, jazz performances, parades, and other events. The Santa Cruz High School Band also partners with the Boardwalk to co-host one of Northern California's largest band reviews, drawing over 55 bands from across the region to compete.
The band relies on families and community members like you to provide over 75% of our annual budget. (Yes, you read that right!)

- Our music program for instruments, instrument repair, uniforms, and supplemental instruction.
- Outreach to the local elementary and middle schools
- Offers free concerts and jazz performances in both winter and spring for our community,
- Our travel costs to 5 other Central Coast Band Review competitions
- Our annual spring trip: Which is a highlight for the SCHS Band. In the last five years, we've had the privilege of performing at the Kennedy Center in Washington DC and Carnegie Hall in New York. This year we are looking forward to marching in Dublin’s New Years Eve Parade.
